Lesbian fights for asylum from further abuse for being gay.
Brenda Namigadde, 29 fled uganda in 2002 after being beaten for her sexuality, today she won an 11th hour injunction while seated on the plane to remain in the UK until her case is further pled to the authorities.
Unfortunately she fights an uphill battle as its very difficult to prove a past thats taken place so long ago in a different country.
Lately it seems as though violence against gays and lesbians is on the rise in the highly religious uganda, the maximum penalty for being gay or lesbian is 14 years in prison.
